Cosmetic preparation for improving the qualities of nails such as brittleness or friability, said preparation containing a silicone resin or a copolymer resin based on silicone resin, urea and organic acid. According to a preferred composition, the preparation consists of: dimethicone 20 wt%, urea 3 wt%, lactic acid 3 wt%, the remainder being cetomacrogol cream and possibly preservatives and possibly aromas.
