The collector has a volumetric absorber (1.1), input and output apertures for the heat-carrier (1.2), distribution and collection tube (1.3), transparent cover plate (4), frame (5) and opaque heat barrier (6). It has a joint suspension connection consisting of flat absorber vessel (1.7) linked by horizontal overflow channels (1.8). Each absorber vessel is cylindrical, consisting of a transparent cover disc (1.9), a porous absorption tabled (1.10), sealed overflow channels (1.8), heat-resistant seals (1.11) which also form the input and output clearances (1.12,1.13) or edge rim (1.15) and a casing (1.18).
