<p>The invention relates to modified adrenergic receptors being constitutively activating such that the receptor is activated through only one pathway. In particular, the invention relates to α1B-adrenergic receptors having an amino acid substitution at position 128 of the receptor such that the receptor is activated through the phospholipase C pathway. The invention also relates to cells expressing constitutively activating adrenergic receptors and methods using such cells.</p> |
