Inspection TV camera for underground drains

The underground inspection system has a main propulsion head (17) with rearwards directed water jets (18) and is connected to the supply system by a high pressure water hose (19). A smaller inspection head (3) with illumination, TV camera and water jets is coupled to the main unit by a length of smaller bore high pressure water hose (6). By selective operation of the rearward facing water jets the smaller inspection head can be steered into side branches of the drains. The head illumination is powered by a turbine/generator in the head and driven by the water flow through the head. The rearwards facing water jets are individually controlled by servo operated cams and are spring loaded into the closed position. The control wires are embedded in the walls of the hoses.
