Filter for use between injection moulding cylinder and nozzle

A filter positioned between a plastics injection cylinder and a nozzle (4) comprises an interchangeable screen plate (8) in a holder (5) moving in a housing (3). Both filter housing (3) and screen holder (5) have a narrow cross-section normal to plastic flow. A drive unit, e.g. a pressure cylinder (11) couples with an extension (10) of the sieve holder (5) for filter removal. The drive unit (11) is stationary and set back from the screen holder (5) with the injection cylinder in the forward position.
