PURPOSE:To reduce the load of operator's work by detecting a margin part other than the end of a line in a non-space line of an inputted document and setting up the margin part in an area inhibiting an input for document preparation or edition into itself. CONSTITUTION:When a margin part other than the end of a non-space line of an inputted document, i.e., a margin part started from the head of the line or a margin part existing between words in the line, is detected, an automatic column position setting part 11 sets up the detected margin part in an input inhibition area. Thereby the operator can be prevented from inputting a character into the margin part in error and the writing starting position of a line and the writing starting position of a word on the way of a line can be prevented from being shifted without deviating characters even at the time of executing editing work such as the deletion or insertion of a character. Consequently the load of operator's work can be reduced. |
