PURPOSE:To make it possible to bring character sets close to their original state without destructing any character set even when vertical sets and horizontal sets are mixed by changing the size of a character in each cell based upon judged scaling ratio. CONSTITUTION:A target table set out of plural table sets displayed on a CRT (display means) 6 is specified by a specifying means and vertical and horizontal scaling factors for the target table set are indicated by an indicating means. At the time of executing the magnifying/reducing processing of a character string in the specified table set, a judging means judges which is used, vertical and horizontal scaling factors by the set direction in each cell. When the size of a character in the cell is changed by the selected scaling factor, the magnifying/reducing processing can be executed without destructing the array of characters. The data of the table set specified by a pointing device 9 to be the specifying means are stored in a RAM 4 by a prescribed format as data to be edited. |
