An accessory for temporarily supporting a panel, such as for example a sealing panel, which is to be attached to a support or framework, for example next to an element which has already been attached, such as another ceiling panel, comprises a bearing member which can be arranged on the said support or framework or on an edge of the element which has previously been fixed, and a supporting member on which the panel which is to be attached can be supported in a position in which an edge thereof faces towards the edge of the element which has already been attached. After the panel in question has been attached, at least the bearing member can remain behind on the element which has previously been attached.
