The present invention provides a device for applying a layer of medium to a substantially cylindrical body, comprising: - a chamber which is substantially closed with respect to the cylindrical body and comprises one or more wall parts which extend onto the cylindrical body; - a feed opening in the chamber, for feeding the medium; - a discharge opening in the chamber, for discharging the medium; and - sealing elements which are arranged in the vicinity of the end part of the wall part which extends to a cylindrical body, which seals also extend as far as the cylindrical body and are of at least slightly resilient design.
