Motor vehicle with dual front supports connected to passenger cell

The motor vehicle has a passenger cell with two longitudinal supports (7) which are connected to the drive unit support (8) and the running gear for the front axle. The drive unit support has front and rear locating elements, and the rear elements (11a,b) have a lower fracture elongation than the drive unit support, the longitudinal supports and the front locating element. The passenger cell has a rigid pedal board (4) connected to the longitudinal supports, at the height of the drive unit, and behind it in relation to the direction of travel. The board is sloped downwards to the rear. At least two separated pairs of rear locating elements may be provided, which may also be made from aluminium while the front elements are made from steel.
