The electric machine has a rotor to which a number of magnets are fastened by an adhesive matrix. The adhesive is arranged on the rotor side and also on other sides such as the sides on the circumferential side of the magnets to connect with adjacent elements. The matrix (12) is effective as elastomer/plastic or mixts. (13). By applying the matrix (12) in chambers (8,9,10) in respective magnets (4), it is effective as a cladding (14) providing support against operating forces. The elastomer (13) is pref. applied in the magnet chambers (8,9,10) at predetermined time intervals by means of a feed in device (28). One feed in device (28) may be used for each magnet (4) to apply the elastomer (13) at the same time for all magnets.
