The invention relates to a preferably fibre-reinforced plastic flanged bush which is disposed around the outer circumference of a pipe end, a push-on flange being disposed on the outer circumference of the flanged bush against a pressure face of the flanged bush, for the purpose of forming a join with an accessory (fitting) to be connected at the pipe end. In this arrangement, the pressure face of the flanged bush is of such a shape that the shear force arising in the flanged bush in the critical cross section of the flanged bush is smaller than the axial closure force acting on the pipe/accessory join.
