PURPOSE:To effectively prevent the lowering of crushing performance even for materials to be crushed having various kinds of properties by forming blades with their lower parts circumferentially provided on the upper part of the outer periphery of a mantle and with their upper part projecting above the upper end surface of the mantle and continuously extending. CONSTITUTION:Blades 21 each have the required length of a chord and one blade 21 is formed ranging from its upper part 21a to its lower part 21b. The lower part 21b of the blade is circumferentially provided on the upper part of the other periphery of a mantle 12 and the upper part 21a of the blade is formed projecting above an upper end surface 12a of the mantle 12 or projecting above the vicinity of the upper end surface 12a. A material fed to a crushing chamber 16 when a gyratory crusher 10 is operated is forcibly fed downwards by the blades 21 rotating together with the mantle 12 and forcibly fed further downwards by the press action of the intrados of the upper part 21a and the lower part 21b. Particularly in the contracted part near the lower part of the crushing chamber 16, the material is given crushing action in a state of being packed and compacted by the action of press force to increase the throughput.
