A connecting-piece fitting can be attached by means of a saddle piece (2) to an external surface of a pipe (34), especially by welding, and in a connecting piece (4) contains a heating coil (16) for the connection of a branch line. It is proposed that the connecting piece (4) have the heating coil (16) on its inner surface (17), and that at least one centring surface (30, 33) and/or stop surface (27) be provided on the connecting piece (4) for coaxial alignment of a boring apparatus.
