<p>The support vest includes a first panel (1) covering the front of the patient's chest, extending over both shoulders and the upper part of the arm to be supported. A second panel (2) is formed as an extension of the first, shaped to wrap under the forearm to form a suspension support for it by attachment to the first panel. A third panel extends from the opposite end of the first panel, to hang down over the patient's shoulders and upper back. An opening is formed between first and third panels to admit the patient's head, and an extension (4) of the third panel wraps around the patient's body to connect to the first panel to secure it in position.
