The wheelbarrow consists of an added rear wheel (1) mounted on a support (2) by a swivel castor, which held to the carrying structure or the container or to the handles of the wheelbarrow with a detachable fixture which permits the mounting. The support is mobile to assume a position (A) during the loading when the wheelbarrow is in the lowered position and a raised position (B) during its transportation. A mechanical release (15a,15b) automatically hooks the support in the lifted position and can be operated by the operators foot or with a light action hand to release the hook to allow the wheelbarrow to be returned to its lowered position.
