<p>The filter assembly comprises a filter defined by a low volume mass of filter media and a heat exchanger having first and second discrete flowpaths for a fluid to be filtered, one of the flowpaths adapted to be in heat exchange relation with a coolant. there is a member for establishing fluid communication between the first and second discrete flowpaths through the heat exchanger for a fluid after contaminates have been removed from it, the filter situated between the establishing member and the heat exchanger. It also has a clamp to maintain the establishing device and the filter in sealed assembled relation with the heat exchanger, the clamp including device for providing fluid access to an axial passageway through it. The filter comprises a thin disc of filter media of sufficient structural integrity as to be reusable.</p> |
