PURPOSE:To obtain a developer superior in electric chargeability, developing performance, and transferability by mixing carrier particles containing an organic material having an F-containing functional group with toner particles containing a specified organic boron compound having a neutralized salt structure composed of a boron-containing organic anionic component and a cationic component. CONSTITUTION:The developer is obtained by mixing the carrier particles containing the organic material having the F-containing functional groups in the surface and/or the inside with the toner particles containing the organic boron compound having a neutralized salt structure composed of the boron- containing organic anionic component and the cationic component represented by formula I or II in which R1 is halogen, alkyl, aralkyl, or the like; n is an integer of >=1; when n is >=2, each of (R1)s may be independent of each other; R2 is H, halogen, lower alkyl, or halomethyl; R3 is H, or halomethyl; and M<+> is a metal cation. The electric characteristics of the developer can be extremely enhanced by using, concretely for example, tetraphenyl-B-Li to the developer. |
