PURPOSE:To obtain an antiviral agent, capable of manifesting excellent effects and safety, containing only a grape pigment or having enhanced antiviral properties by further adding an extracted essence of Rosa roxburghii Tratt. thereto and a feed or a functional food using the same. CONSTITUTION:This antiviral agent contains a grape pigment obtained by extracting a grape pericarp or fruit, etc. This feed or functional feed is obtained by using the grape pigment. When the grape pigment is used as the feed or functional food, the concentration of the grape pigment is 0.01-5%, preferably 0.05-3%. Antiviral activities of the antiviral agent can be enhanced by using an extract of Rosa roxburghii Tratt. without manifesting the antiviral actions itself in addition to the grape pigment. The blending ratio thereof is preferably basically nearly the equal amounts. |
