PURPOSE: To obtain the subject therapeutic agent containing buspirone (salt) useful as a psychotropic agent as an active ingredient and useful for treating apnea followed by sleep and sudden infant death syndrome. CONSTITUTION: This therapeutic agent contains buspirone of the formula or its acid addition salt as an active ingredient. The therapeutic agent is administered by parenteral method such as intravenous injection or intramuscular injection or oral or rectal administration method. The therapeutic agent is preferably administered in a dose of 20-60 mg/adult. Thereby, anxiety, hemostasis, fatigue, malaise, excitation, anger, hostility, etc., which are symptoms typical of sleep-inducing apnea are alleviated. |
