RESIN COATED METALLIC SHEET SUPERIOR IN WATER RESISTANCE

PURPOSE:To make suitable for a drink can to be sold under a heated condition by an automatic vending machine by possessing excellent hydrolysis resistance, by a method wherein an antioxidant is added to polyester resin or an adhesive agent which is used for sticking between thermoplastic resin and a metallic sheet. CONSTITUTION:Thermoplastic resin comprised of 100 pts.wt. thermoplastic resin and 0.1-5.0 pts.wt. antioxidant is laminated at least on one side of a metallic sheet becoming the inside of a can. Then the thermoplastic resin is laminated to the one side which becomes the inside of the can of the metallic sheet through an adhesive agent which contains the 0.1-10.0 pts.wt. antioxidant on the basis of a 100 pts.wt. adhesive agent and a resin coated metallic sheet which is superior in water resistance is obtained. Possibly, the thermoplastic resin is taken as a resin metallic sheet which is a single layer or at least two layer filmy polyester resin and is superior in water resistance.
