MANUFACTURE OF DISK AND THE DISK

摘要

PURPOSE:To read recorded data on the entire surface of a disk by reducing the double refraction of the outer periphery of the disk. CONSTITUTION:A replica disk 2 having a diameter larger than that of an optical disk is obtained by a movable mold A fixed with a stamper 1 recorded with data and the other stationary mold B having an injection port 4 for injecting molding material by injection molding. Then, the replica disk is cut at the outer peripheral part 3 to be cut by a support cutter 7 and an outer peripheral cutting blade 8 before cooling thereby to cut OFF the outer periphery of the disk having high double refractive index, thereby obtaining the optical disk which uniformly has low double refractive index and in which the outer periphery having a predetermined size is cut.
