<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a coloring composition excellent in various fastnesses and useful for the production of a color filter excellent in vividness of hue, transparency, etc., by using a specified high-molecular weight azo yellow pigment. CONSTITUTION:This composition is used for forming a coloring pattern on a base plate for a color filter and contains at least a high-molecular weight azo yellow pigment represented by formula I as a yellow coloring matter. In formula I, Ar is a group of formula II, formula III (wherein (n) is 0 or 1; and A is a methylene, an ether, sulfonyl or thioether group when (n) is 1), or formula IV. In these formulae, X1, X2 and Y and each H, a 1-3C alkyl, an alkoxyl or a halogen; and Z1 and Z2 are each H, a 1-3C alkyl, a halogenated alkyl, an alkoxyl, phenoxyl, xylyl or a halogen.</p> |
