PURPOSE:To efficiently separate and remove various metals from fly ash by washing the fly ash generated when waste is incinerated, with water to elute and remove chlorine ion and attriting separated dechlorinated fly ash slime before separating and recovering metals by flotation. CONSTITUTION:After reusable parts have been recovered from a scrapped car, the scrapped car is shredded by a shredder to recover iron and nonferrous metals. The shredder dust after they are recovered is burnt in order to reduce vol., and fly ash contained in combustion exhaust gas is recovered by a filter. Fly ash is washed with a water in order to remove a chlorine component and, next, a fly ash slurry is separated into an overflowed fraction and a sedimentation fraction in a sedimentation tank to obtain dechlorinated fly ash slime. This slime is attrited to grind lumpy matter and subsequently subjected to flotation to separate a magnetic metal such as iron. Next, the non-magnetic residual component is subjected to flotation to recover a non-magnetic metal such as copper or zinc. |
