PURPOSE:To decompose by oxidation harmful ammonia (NH3) contained in various types of exhaust gas from coke furnaces, various factories, exhaust denitrizers by selective catalytic reduction using ammonia as a reductant, municipal waste treatment facilities, municipal water purification facilities, sludge treatment facilities, etc., into nitrogen and water. CONSTITUTION:The catalyst for decomposing ammonia containing a catalyst A component which is at least one kind of complex oxide selected from among binary complex oxide containing Ti and Si, binary complex oxide containing Ti and Zr, and ternary complex oxide containing Ti, Si, and Zr, a catalyst B component which is an oxide of at least one kind of metal selected from among V, W, and Mo, and a catalyst C component which is at least one kind noble metal selected from among Fe, Mn, Cu, Cr, Co, Ce, Ni and its compound, and the ammonia treating method by decomposition using the catalyst, are provided. |
