PURPOSE:To simply and effectively mount a decorative plate at a clip with excellent appearance. CONSTITUTION:The clip for a writing instrument comprises a platelike metal clip 1 having an engaging piece 2, and a locking hole 5 having a longitudinal groove for disposing the clip to engage the piece 2 of the clip with the groove. A collar part for providing an interval of the thick part of the clip is provided at the wall of the longitudinal groove, and a decorative plate 3 of synthetic resin provided with an insertion part 2 at the rear end of the clip 1 is provided at an interval of the thick part of the clip 1 at the rear end of the groove of the hole 5. The clip 1 is press injected from the forward of the groove of the plate, and the rear end of the clip, the insertion part 7 of the plate, the piece 2 of the clip, the hole 5 of the plate 3, the intermediate part of the clip and the collar of the plate 3 are engaged. |
