PURPOSE:To obtain an artificial blood vessel which is applicable to a thin blood vessel as well and has an excellent antithrombus property and tissue healing property by imparting collagen matrix to the outer surface of a tubular body having a porous structure and likewise imparting fibrin to the surface of the inside cavity. CONSTITUTION:This artificial blood vessel 1 is formed out of the tubular body 2 having a porous structure. The collagen matrix 3 formed by mainly mixing fibrous collagen and modified collagen having a helix content of 0 to 80% is imparted to the outer surface of the tubular body 2 and the fibrin 4 is imparted on the inside cavity surface of the tubular body 2. Production is executed by first imparting the collagen matrix solution on the outer surface, etc., of the tubular body 2, then freeze drying the coating, putting a thermally shrinkable polymer thereon, subjecting the polymer to heat treatment to adhere the polymer and simultaneously subjecting the collagen matrix to thermal crosslinking. Next, the fibrin is adhered to the inside cavity surface, etc., of the tubular body 2 by simultaneously injecting a fibrinogen soln. and a thrombin soln. therein. |
