PURPOSE:To obtain a new isoamylase gene coding isoamylase of Flavobacterium odoratum KU strain, having high optimum temperature, usable in combination with amylase and useful for the production of an enzyme capable of giving maltose, etc., from starch in high efficiency at a low cost. CONSTITUTION:This new isoamylase DNA for the production of isoamylase is produced by Flavobacterium odoratum KU strain (FERM P-12711), codes the 34th to 774th and the 1st to 774th amino acid sequences in the amino acid sequence expressed by the formula, has an optimum temperature of >=50 deg.C and is usable in combination with amylase and capable of industrially producing maltooligosaccharide such as maltose and branched cyclodextrins, etc., from starch in high productivity at a low cost. The DNA can be separated and purified from Flavobacterium odoratum KU strain by conventional method. |
