PURPOSE:To provide a rapid red heat body rapidly red heated at the time of heating and a deodorizing and desmoking device utilizing the same. CONSTITUTION:The rapid red heat body is obtained by forming a glazing layer 2 on the surface of a ceramic fiber formed body 1. When the red heat body is set in a deodorizing and desmoking chamber and is allowed to contact with a combustion gas containing malodor or unburnt component, the malodor or the unburnt component is thermally decomposed by the rapid red heat body to show deodorizing and desmoking effect. |
