<p>PURPOSE:To attain stably conveying a sheet material by providing an engaging part engaging an energizing means with an arm on a plane passing through the center of axial direction length of a retard roller and a pinch roller to be vertical to a shaft, so as to eliminate a deviation of pressing force respectively against a separating roller and a feed roller of the retard roller and the pinch roller. CONSTITUTION:A retard roller unit has a retard roller 1 and a pinch roller 2 reversely rotated against a document conveying direction, and both end parts in each roller 1, 2 are rotatably supported on roller pressing arms 3, 4 swivelable around a supporting point shaft 9. The pressing arms 3, 4 are energized respectively to a separating roller side and feed roller side by energizing springs A, B. Here in each pressing arm 3, 4, pressing roots (engaging part) 3a, 4a of each roller 1, 2 are provided to be displaced before and after relating to the conveying direction in its downstream. In this way, pressing balance against a document of the two rollers 1, 2 is improved, to prevent a problem such as improper conveyance of diagonal feed or the like.</p> |
