摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To prevent the severe wear and heating of seal rings by bringing a static seal ring into sliding contact with a rotary seal ring only when a rotating member requiring the supply of fluid is stopping, and insuring the sealing property between the both. CONSTITUTION:A fluid is guided to a pressurizing chamber 9 through the fluid inlet port 4e of a retainer 4 in the state where the rotation of a rotating shaft 1 is stopped, a static seal ring 3 is pushed onto a rotary seal ring 2 by the fluid pressure to seal the space between seal end surfaces 2a, 3a. O-rings 7, 8 are twisted as being rolled according to the seal ring 3, the seal ring 3 is energized by its reaction in the direction of separating from the seal ring 2 against the pressure of the fluid guided to the pressurizing chamber 9, and the fluid in the pressurizing chamber 9 is supplied to the fluid passage 1b of the rotating shaft 1 through a communicating passage 10. The fluid to the pressurizing chamber 9 is stopped according to the rotation of the rotating shaft 1, whereby the sealed ring 3 is separated from the seal ring 2 by the reaction accompanying the twisting of the O-rings 7, 8 to release the sealed state. Thus, the severe wear and heating of the seal end surfaces 2a, 3a can be prevented.</p>
