<p>A method for regulating the temperature of a boiler (2), heated by a non-modulating burner (3), and a controller (1) which carries out this method are specified, in the case of which, in addition, for the purpose of forming a desired value (Tv1), dependent on the outside temperature, for the boiler temperature from the state of a two-position switch (12) controlling the burner, the switch-on ratio of the burner (3) is determined and from this a correcting quantity is formed for the desired value of the boiler temperature. This correcting quantity can be a second desired value (Ty2), which is determined by a further desired value computer (15) from the switch-on ratio and is combined with the first desired value (Tv1) by means of a summer (17).
