<p>Tape tension controller comprising:… a reel-base (3) on which a cassette having a supply reel and a magnetic tape (4) wound around said supply reel is accomodated;… a head cylinder (32) having a cylindrical wall onto which said magnetic tape fed from said cassette is wound;… a movable detecting arm (5) engageable at one end thereof with one surface of said magnetic tape between said cassette and said head cylinder for detecting the tension in said magnetic tape, the movement of said detecting arm being responsive to the change of said tension;… breaking means (10) controllable by said movement of said detecting arm for resisting the rotation of said supply reel with a breaking force so as to maintain a substantially constant tension in said magnetic tape; and urging means (14, 16) provided in the vicinity of said one end of said detecting arm for enlarging a contact surface of said one end of said detecting arm and said one surface of said magnetic tape.</p> |
