The parameter adjustment involves two parameters (P1,P2) which allow adjustment of the radiological unit. The first parameter is voltage, the second exposure time. Each parameter has a desirable range of adjustment (inf, sup) and an acceptable range of adjustment (min, max). A set of range zones can be defined where the parameter (P1) is in the desired range, but not P2 (A,B), and a set where the parameter P2 is in the desired range but not P1(C,D). A central zone (G) represents the region where both parameters are optimal. When a body absorption factor is called by the practitioner, the voltage is adjusted first to within its desirable range, working on the exposure time parameter to keep this within the desirable range. If parameters cannot be adjusted in the desirable ranges, the acceptable range is chosen for one of the parameters.
