<p>The machine forms feeds or similar crops into bundles (61). These are all aligned in the same direction, and delivered sideways into a chamber. When this has been filled to a predetermined level, a press mechanism compresses part at least of them into a bundle, surplus ones being expelled back into the chamber, after which the bundle is removed. It can be tied beforehand or transferred by a grab to a tying mechanism. During compression, the reeds can be vibrated in their transverse direction.</p> |
