The lamp fastening device has a metal blank folded into a U-shaped profile forming a holder for the bulb. The base (1) of the holder forms a support surface for the skirt (4) at the base of the lamp bulb (5). The sides (2,3) of the holder elastically retain the lamp skirt against the bottom of the holder. The sides of the holder are extended by elastically deformable arms (9). Each arm is cut in the longitudinal direction to form a first part (10) bent in the direction of the bottom of the holder so it presses down on the bulb skirt. The second part (11) of the arm is straight, and hooks at its end (11a) into a slot (12) formed in the other side (3) of the holder. Two bent tabs (18,19) at the edge of the hole cut in the bottom of the holder to allow passage of the bulb, retain the bulb skirt.
