The car brake lamp (1) is fastened to the inside of the rear windshield (3). It has a polarisation filter (4) to prevent internal reflections inside the car cabin. The filter functions so that the least possible amount of light is reflected off the windshield. The filter is incorporated in the lamp housing or into the windshield itself.
