Ball bearing with oil infeed

The bearing incorporates a ball cage (4) with openings for the balls which are open at one side. The cage protrudes, at least at one side, axially beyond the bearing rings (1, 2). The inner bore of the cage consists of three zones (7a, 7b, 7c). The inside diameter of the cage increases from the outer edge (6a) to the control edge (6b) so that it forms a cone (7a). The inside diameter (7b) of the cage remains constant from the edge (6b) up till inner edge (6c). The inside diameter then increases to form another conical zone (7d). The oil infeed arrangement, in the form of e.g. a wick, is attached to the inside of the first conical zone (7a).
