Friction coupling for motor vehicles

The friction coupling comprises a pressure disc (3) which is secured non-rotatably but which can move axially and is connected to a housing. Pressure is exerted axially on the plate by an axially pre-loaded spring disc (4) which is mounted between the housing and pressure disc. The spring disc is supported at one side or a rim (5) on the housing which acts as a circular pivot for the edge of the spring disc. The other side of the disc engages with the pressure disc to load it into the direction of a friction disc (10). The spring disc can be moved by a wear compensating mechanism which is mounted between the housing and the spring disc.
