Sealing component for plug-connector water-tightness

The sealing component is provided to make plug connectors water-tight. The seal is made of a vulcanised body which is manufactured from a compound of 100 parts per mass of a polyorganosiloxane (1), 5 to 100 parts per mass of a reinforcing silicon dioxide powder filling material (2), 0.01 to 10 parts of a hydrogensiloxane polymer (3) with two or more Si-H bonds per molecule, and 0.01 to 5 parts t-butyl-peroxy-3,5,5-trimethylhexanoate (4). The compound may also include 1 to 30 parts per mass oil (5) with small solubility in the compound. The polyorganosiloxane (1) preferably has a linear structure with a degree of polymerisation of 3000 to 10000.
