The container (8) sealing is carried out by foil onto a peripheral edge round the container aperture. There is at least one retainer (6) for a single container and a foil welding tool. The retainer surrounds a space, permitting insertion of containers of different dimensions. The tool consists of a top (1) and a lower part (2) which is exchangeable and shaped to match the dimensions of the respective container.
