Method of centreless short stroke honing of rollers

The method involves connecting a honing stone (9) to the transporter for the rollers (5) so that it is conveyed together with the rollers and can machine one roller each time in one revolution. The honing stone is mounted in a pendulum bearing. The forward thrust of the honing stone is synchronous with that of the roller during machining, and can be varied individually or in groups. In the case of several honing stones, those in one group have the same specifications but may vary from those in another group. A conveyor screw (2) has a collar (3). The conveyor rollers can be aligned in relation to each other.
