PROCESS AND DEVICE FOR REGULATING DRAFTING EQUIPMENT, IN PARTICULAR IN CARDING MACHINES

A process is disclosed for regulating drafting equipment, in particular in carding machines. The measurement signals are sensed at the entrance of the drafting equipment, are compared with the set value and a regulating signal for the control unit of an engine that regulates the pair of drafting rollers is derived from the thus obtained differential signal. Also disclosed is a regulating device. In order to improve the regulation results and to carry out adjustments at the card sliver at the position where the difference was detected, the set values are read in a set value register (6231) by means of a transfer address, the base speed of rotation is derived from the actual speed of rotation of the doffer (631) and is retransmitted as base voltage to the driving unit of the regulating engine. A measurement cycle of lower frequency is generated depending on a roller of the drafting equipment, a measurement signal is detected during each measurement cycle, is converted into a digital signal, is compared with the activated transfer address of the set value register and a differential signal is formed. The thus obtained differential signal is converted into a transfer address for a correction register (613) and the regulating value read in the correction register by the activated transfer address is transmitted to the driving unit of the regulating engine.
