A 2'-deoxy-2'-(substituted or unsubstituted methylidene)-4'-thionucleoside having an excellent antitumor activity and represented by general formula (I), a process for producing the same, and the use thereof. In said formula B represents a pyrimidine or purine base; R1 and R2 may be the same or different from each other and each represents hydrogen, cyano or alkyl; and R3 represents hydrogen or a phosphate residue.
