The current take-off rail has an electrically-conductive carrier rail (3), in which an elongate carbon take-off block (2) is clamped. The carrier rail has at least 2 profile rails (4, 5), slid relative to one another transverse to the longitudinal direction, for clamping the take-off block, by engaging its opposite sides. Pref. the profile rails are releasably coupled via a clamp device (26), each profile rail having a clamp arm (10, 11), engaging a clamp recess in the longitudinal side face (13, 14) of the take-off block.
