<p>Targets or markers for electronic article surveillance systems are given very distinctive signal characteristics by causing a strip of a magnetic alloy which contains a small percent of a transition metal and no silicon to cool through its annealing temperature in the presence of a magnetic field in the range of 180 to 300 millioersteds extending along the length of the strip.</p> |
