<p>The invention concerns a procedure for separating from cereal a microbe inhibitor and/or combination of microbe inhibitors, the cereal being ground, the meal suspended in water in order to dissolve the soluble substances, the insoluble constituents being removed and from the solution being separated a microbe inhibitor fraction having molecular weight less than 30,000. The invention further concerns a prepared microbe inhibitor and/or combination of microbe inhibitors and the use of a microbe inhibitor and/or combination of microbe inhibitors for retarding or preventing growth of bacteria and/or fungi.</p> |
