Heat recovery from flue gases

The first exchanger is arranged on the flue gas side and the second exchanger on the air side, using fresh air as specified in this case. Imported air is added to the cooled flue gas behind the second heat exchanger (4) so as to reduce the dewpoint of the flue gas and serve as an equalising vent to allow for the fresh air input. When the burner is off, the system can be switched over via flaps etc. to recover heat from the spent air. With the chimney etc. closed off (10), the flue gas can be diverted by a bypass so when this is stopped off by a flap (1') the flue gas is drawn (2) through the two exchangers, keeping the flap (1') open when the burner is on and the blower (2) off. The exchangers thermally combine flue gas and ambient and/or fresh air in the room being heated, designed as cooler (1) and aftercooler (4) served by a flap-closed (10) spent air line to remove this.
