Triggering devices (SQ1, SQ2) for several restraints are connected in parallel to a common energy source (V) and have individual series transistor switches (TR1, TR2) controlled by a microprocessor (20) which evaluates information from an accelerometer (10) in order to reach a decision as to whether or not the vehicle is in collision. The safety switch (SDW) in the common line from the energy source to all triggering devices is more sensitive to shock. It may be based on a magnet movable on the outer shell of a control or measurement switch and biased by a spring.
