Photographic material has a base with red-, green- and blue-sensitive Ag halide (AgX) emulsion layer(s) contg. cyan, magenta and yellow coupler resp. and opt. other layers. The novelty is that a ketone of formula (I) is present in at least one of the layers contg. coupler: R<1>-C(=O)-R<2> (I) R<1>, R<2> = alk(en)yl, cycloalkyl or aryl.
